Waterfest 25, July 20-21, 2019. ATCO, New Jersey. Waterfest has never been ''just a car show''. This year's edition was no different. We've been served some of the hottest temperatures in the history of the show for three consecutive days! Despite the conditions, people showed up to enjoy the multiple scheduled events and incredible builds.
Proud sponsor of the Drag Racing Events, Unitronic employees and partners participated to test some of our upcoming Performance Software. It was hard to perform considering the extreme heat and humidity but everybody had fun and we managed several passes under 10 seconds using different upcoming Performance Software and Hardware for the 2.5TFSI® (EVO) platform.
You might have seen them in the past weeks but there was still A LOT of interest around our new Performance Hardware such as the upcoming Carbon Fiber Intake and Downpipe for B9 A4®/A5®/Allroad®/S4®/S5®, as well as Unitronic's full suite of performance parts for the 2.5TFSI® engines found in the Audi 8S TT RS® and 8V RS 3®.
Waterfest's father, Dan Bohrmann, organized an epic car giveaway with more than a dozen companies involved! We were happy to participate by supplying the giveaway car, a 2009 MK5 GTI, a Unitronic Downpipe for 2.0 TSI GEN1 and a DV Relocation Kit for 2.0 TSI GEN1. That is one lucky winner!
Another highlight of the event was the showcase of the Unitronic No. 17 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR and the visit of one of the professional race car drivers of the No. 17, Mikey Taylor who made sure to answer all questions about the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and also, what it's like with a career in professional motorsports. There was lots to be said when you are coming back from one of the most epic winS in the history of the series!
Special shoutout to our friends at Motorized Coffee for helping us make it through the weekend alive with their fresh cold brew iced coffee and also to our partners from Island Sport Works for helping answers the tons of questions about our Performance Upgrades.
