“Unitronic, John Staffi and its Authorized Dealers were great partners of JDC-Miller and our No. 54 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR car in 2019,” said Josh Reasoner of MJR Partnerships/Media Relations. “With all the success we're building towards in IMSA, we are humbled to have the support of a company that's on the leading edge of vehicle performance globally. It's our expectation to win a Michelin Pilot Challenge Championship in 2020 and Unitronic will be a driving force with us.”

Positioned at the forefront of its industry, Unitronic occupies a similar place on the Universal Coating No. 54 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR car. The red Unitronic corporate logo helps lead the way on race day, appearing on either side of the front bumper of the vehicle.

“I am very excited to have Unitronic on our No. 54 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR car for the 2020 season,” said Simpson. “Unitronic are a great company with some quality people and it is a pleasure to represent them in the Michelin Pilot Challenge. It is our goal to enjoy a successful season with them both on and off the track.”

Johnson and Simpson will be back on the track this week, racing in the BMW Endurance Challenge, as part of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, at Daytona International Speedway in Florida as the first official event of the season for the 2020 Michelin Pilot Challenge.

Last season, in qualifying for the BMW Endurance Challenge, Johnson made history, breaking the TCR course record and capturing the pole position, however, on race day the team was not able to finish due to an incident on the track. Earlier this month, at the Roar Before the Rolex, a three-day event that featured six practice sessions, the team finished strong, as Simpson broke the two-minute mark during the final run, posting the top time in the TCR class for the weekend at 1:59.846 (106.932 mph).
