VCDS DATA LOGGING PROCEDURES

(1) Open VCDS and click “SELECT”

(2) Click “01-Engine”

(3) Click “Adv. Meas. Values”

(4) Click on the VCDS logo in the title bar of the channel selection window and select “Load selection from file…”

You should load the preselection file(s) that correspond with what your Unitronic Support Representative has requested. The maximum number of channels that can be selected preserving high speed sampling rates is limited with VCDS. As a result, it may be necessary to use more than one preselection file set to obtain all the data necessary for analysis. Unitronic Support Representatives will always provide you with the necessary preselection file(s) that are needed. If you’re unsure, please contact Unitronic Support.

(5) Select the checkbox for “Group UDS Requests” and click on the button for “TURBO” to ensure that the data logs will be collected in the highest sampling rate possible.

(6) From this point, you’re ready to begin logging.

To start the log, click on the “Log” button and name your file accordingly. For ease of analysis and interpretation, Unitronic suggests labeling the files with your name, stage, and log group.

Ex. LOG-01-IDE00021_&7_JOHNSMITH_STAGE2_boost_nm

DO NOT collect multiple data sets within the same log, otherwise you may be asked to repeat the logs again.
