The Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports Team heads into the Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 at the notorious Sebring International Raceway looking to better their podium finish from 2022, with its sights set on the top step with its new second-generation Audi RS 3 LMS TCR.
Sebring is unique in that it’s easily the most abrasive and demanding track on the calendar and with its brand new second-gen Audi TCR, the team has their work cut out for them. This circuit holds a special place in Unitronic motorsport history, as it’s the site of the company’s first podium finish in professional motorsports back in 2019 and the team heads into 2023 with same confidence after a strong first outing in Daytona with its top five finish.
An enthusiastic Chris Miller said “I can’t wait to get back in the #17 Unitronic Audi this week. We knew the first race with the new car would be a challenge so we were all happy to get a top five but now I think we can set our sights a bit higher as we head into round two of the championship. The team has been working incredibly hard over the last month so I’m very motivated to reward their efforts with a great result. Sebring is always a challenging event that demands a lot from the car and drivers due to the bumpy surface and high commitment corners but we came very close to winning last year so I know we can do it. The car looks great in the special LIQUI MOLY livery we will run for the event and I’ll be doing my best to keep it clean and up front come Thursday!”
“I’m really looking forward to getting back on track at Sebring, we had a good showing there last year and I can’t wait to give it another shot in the new Gen2 Audi! We haven’t done any testing in the new car since Daytona so it will be good to get back in the seat and continue to develop the car.” said Mikey Taylor.
