Three short months after heartbreak struck at the finale of the 2023 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge championship when a input shaft failure on warm up lap decimated all hopes of the #17 Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports entry winning the title from pole position, the team is back for another championship pursuit in 2024.
A standout year for the team, 2023 netted three victories, five podium finishes, four pole positions, winning the VP Fuels Front Runner Award and finishing an impressive third in the championship, despite the failure at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Starting the 2023 season with the brand new Gen2 Audi RS3 LMS TCR, the team faced their fair share of teething issues with the new platform but with five podium finishes in the final seven races the Unitronic-JDC Audi will look to continue that momentum into 2024.
SEASONED DRIVERS RETURN
Continuing for their fourth season together co-drivers Mikey Taylor and Chris Miller will be reunited for the full 2024 season. “As the saying goes, why fix what isn’t broken. It’s been an absolute pleasure driving with Chris and working with the entire Unitronic JDC-Miller team over the last few years. Last year we came so close to achieving our ultimate goal of the championship, and I’m confident if we can have a better start to our season we’ll be right there at the end again in 2024! Thank you to all our partners and crew members for coming back for another year of fun!” said the South African born Mikey Taylor.
An upbeat Miller said “Obviously 2023 didn’t end as we’d hoped but it was still a great effort by everyone involved and proved that we have everything needed to win the championship. To be able to return this year with a lot of continuity in the program should give us all a lot of confidence and I’m very grateful to everyone at JDC-Miller Motorsports, Unitronic, LIQUI MOLY and our other partners, for helping to make it happen. Looking back at last season we got off to a bit of a slow start as we were sorting out issues with a brand new car. We won’t have that excuse this year so it will be important to hit the ground running in Daytona and get a great result. I know everyone has been working hard to be as prepared as possible and I can’t wait to get on track!”

The season kicks off with the four hour BMW M Endurance Challenge At Daytona on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 1:40 PM to 5:45 PM ET streaming on Peacock for US viewers and on IMSA.TV for international viewers. First track action of the year for the #17 TCR begins on Wednesday, January 24 at 3:05 PM ET with free practice one, followed by practice two and qualifying on Thursday.
