Daytona, FL — Fresh off their reign as IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge TCR champions, the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsport Team entered the 2025 season following years of success in the TCR class with Audi. Transitioning to the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS and the highly competitive IMSA GS class, however, made for a challenging freshman season.
Challenges provide opportunities to overcome, and for development, growth, and learning. The Unitronic-JDC Miller Motorsport squad has set its sights on returning to the podiums they frequented during their TCR days as they head into their sophomore year in the Grand Sport class. The official, Roar Before the 24 preseason test kicks off this weekend where the #17 Porsche will be wrapped in the unmistakable, red, white and blue, LIQUI MOLY livery. The team will also welcome a few new members, in hopes of continuing to be more competitive in the stacked GS field.
Pro driver Mikey Taylor celebrates 2026 with his 14th season in IMSA competition, which he’s approaching optimistically;
“I can't believe we're getting packed up for Daytona already! It feels like we just finished our debrief from Road Atlanta and what we needed to work on going into 2026. I think 2025 was a big eye-opener for everyone, but now we fully understand what we need to do and we've put a lot of work in the off-season that I believe has given us all the pieces of the puzzle. Now we just need to go out there and execute! I'm looking forward to getting to work with everyone here in a couple days.”
Chris Miller returns to the cockpit of the #17 entry to continue full season driver duties, which, paired with Taylor, is now one of the longer running pairings in the Michelin Pilot Challenge series;
“I’m so excited about the program we have put together this year and am very grateful for everyone’s hard work this offseason. We had a challenging first year in GS but I’m super optimistic about the progress we have made over the past several months and the efforts we have made to come back stronger. It’s very special to be able to continue with JDC-Miller, Unitronic, Liqui Moly, and Mikey and it's exciting to welcome some new faces as well. I’m confident we can start our championship with a strong result in Daytona!”
One of the new faces for 2026, is IMSA newcomer, Nick Plocienik, who will be joining the team for the BMW M Endurance Challenge as the 3rd driver;
