After an unfortunate race weekend at Mid-Ohio, which was cut short by a rear-end collision in May, the Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team has put together a plan to achieve better reliability with their #17 Audi RS 3 LMS TCR and they’ll put it all on the line at the Tioga Downs 120 in Watkins Glen, NY this weekend with Chris Miller and Mikey Taylor behind the wheel.

Enough about the car itself this time around — let’s take a moment to recognize the JDC-Miller Motorsports team, who is undoubtedly the hardest working crew in the paddock and thank them for all their past and continued efforts to get the Audi RS 3 TCR to the top step week in and week out.

Eric Quigg, our front tire changer, a Minnesota native and avid ice fisherman, has been known to catch a fish with his mouth and bite its head off while blindfolded and his hands tied behind his back. Jeremy Hatcher, our rear tire changer and air wand stabber, a Virginian who has two daughters who love to play with barbies. Jesse Klein, our refueler in pitlane, tire boy in the paddock, and truck “driver” on the road, another Minnesota native who always gets the ladies, like a drummer in a band, loves Arby’s Roast Beef and has never missed a deadline (wink wink).. Jack “Shooter Mc” Gavin, our “fuel number at the stripe” guy, who is a recent JMU graduate and young up and coming Scrogham-prodigy out of the Madison Automotive Apprentices, can pedal a mountain bike faster than a SpaceX Falcon-9 rocket.

Saving the bests for last — the man, the myth, the legend, but definitely the wittiest old fox there is, our Engineer and Strategist, Cole Scrogham. If you’re lucky enough to have met Cole and spend some quality time with him — you’ll quickly appreciate his endless wisdom, wit, and will. Pro Tip: You’ll want to keep your “Notes” app handy whenever Cole is around though, as you will definitely find yourself wanting to jot down all of his witty remarks, as they’re too priceless to let just pass-by. Finally, the ring leader himself, our Team Principal John Church — he talks really funny into the pit box microphone, but we love him just the same and we sincerely appreciate everything he’s done for us; JDC-Miller Motorsports is a world-class operation and we couldn’t imagine running an IMSA program with anyone else.
