Unitronic® is proud to release its new "GBX" ECU Performance Software calibrations, which feature proprietary code developed specifically for SIMOS 19.6 ECU found in the MK8 GTI® , Golf R® and 8Y S3® with locked “401” bootloader DQ381.2 TCU types.
With these all-new “GBX” ECU calibrations, Unitronic is now able to reach factory clutch pressure limits for customers with locked (stock) TCUs. Differentiating us further, we've also added additional proprietary code allowing us to keep the clutches within an acceptable range to avoid clutch slip/overheating in virtually all conditions and climates.
Unitronic’s work and efforts continue onward towards unlocking these later bootloader versions for OBD2 tunability. The use of expertly calibrated Unitronic TCU Performance Software will definitely still provide an advantage overall, especially during standing starts with launch control engaged or with shift speed and shift point enhancements, to name a few, but users can rest assured that the full torque experience can now be enjoyed in the meantime.
