The Unitronic JDC-Miller MotorSports driver pairing of Mikey Taylor and Chris Miller will head into the final event of the 2021 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Championship at the world famous Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, looking to make one final push to volt them up the order to the top of the TCR championship standings.

Carrying strong momentum from their previous victory at Virginia International Raceway last month, the #17 Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports Audi RS3 LMS entry will have to put it all on the line for a top result. With 350 points up for grabs in the final event, and the #17 team is currently in 5th position in the 2021 championship, only 90 points away from second, and 320 points away from first position, it’s all to play for in the final 120 minutes of racing to conclude the season.

Road Atlanta brings back fond memories for the Unitronic team with a second place finish in the 2019 Fox Factory 120 with Mikey Taylor and Britt Casey Jr. Also now being a resident of Atlanta, the South African native Taylor will be looking to go one position better than his previous race at the circuit “Road Atlanta was the first track I ever drove in the US back in 2012 and since then it has to be one of my favorite circuits in the world and also the one which I feel most comfortable at. We’re going to risk it all to get our #17 on the top step of the podium and hopefully jump up in the championship to reward our hard working team and partners after a challenging season!”.
Co-driver Chris Miller has even more experience at the Braselton, GA circuit having competed in the Petit Le Mans event in the prototype ranks for many years. “I always look forward to racing at Road Atlanta but I’m particularly excited to drive our Audi TCR car there. It will be a lot different than anything I’ve ever driven there but I think it will suit the track well and be a blast to drive! The #17 Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team has given us fast cars all year and I’m confident we will be fighting for the win again. I’ve also had some podiums at Road Atlanta but never actually won a race there, so I will be giving it my all to be able to check that box!”.
