Sebring, FL — The Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team faced a challenging weekend at the legendary Sebring International Raceway, taking the #17 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport through a race filled with ups and downs.
As always, motorsport fans in Florida showed up in large numbers but the race kicked off in dramatic fashion, as a major incident immediately reshaped the field at the start. The #17 Cayman managed to emerge unscathed, but the field remained under yellow flag conditions for nearly thirty minutes. Chris Miller delivered a clean and composed opening stint, keeping the car out of trouble before handing the reins over to Mikey Taylor after completing the minimum drive time.
Taylor pushed hard, climbing as high as P11 with strong pace. Unfortunately, incidental contact from another Porsche in the field disrupted the charge and dropped the #17 back in the order. Despite efforts to recover, the team was ultimately forced to retire, resulting in a P18 finish.
While the result wasn’t what the team had hoped for, the focus has already shifted to the next challenge at Laguna Seca, just five weeks away. The Unitronic JDC-Miller Motorsports team remains determined to bounce back, with its sights set firmly on the front of the GS field.
