Unitronic JDC-Miller Optimistically Heads Into Second Half Of The Season With New Partner

Jul 16th, 2021 EventsMotorsports

Having been plagued with mechanical failures in the first half of the season after showing so much promise with a win at the opening round, the Unitronic JDC-Miller MotorSports team have been compelled to look at root causes of these failures and how they can be prevented with new processes and even shorter part life than expected. Having found some areas of improvement the team looks forward to the remaining races to get back to their winning ways and climb back up the championship ladder.

MONTREAL, CANADA – Time flies when you’re having fun, and even with the most recent run of mechanical issues, the #17 entry has been having fun and finds itself already into the second half of the season with only 5 races left. Currently sitting 10th in the championship standings and having one victory and one pole position to their name, the driver pairing of Chris Miller and Mikey Taylor will look to make a big impact from round 6 of the championship at Lime Rock Park, CT onwards.

Known as the ‘Bull Ring’, Lime Rock Park offers a unique playground for the TCR field to battle it out door to door. JDC-Miller MotorSports, having been one of the favorites to win for the past few years with a second place finish the last time the IMSA Michelin Pilot Series visited the circuit, will look to go one step better in the 2021 edition of the event. “I’m really looking forward to getting back to Lime Rock for the first time in many years. I know the team has always had fast cars there and everyone has been working incredibly hard since Watkins Glen. It’s been a challenging year but we have had great pace almost every time out. I’m hopeful we are going to turn the corner here and have a strong second half of the season.” said Miller.
