Description

Looking to maximize airflow and turbo efficiency on your MK8 Golf R or 8Y S3? Unitronic’s Cold Air Intake System with Air Duct and High Flow Turbo Inlet Kit work together as a complete intake assembly for the 2.0TSI EVO4 engine.

The Intake System is designed to increase air velocity and throttle response while helping reduce intake air temperatures and minimizing turbo lag. It also enhances induction sound, amplifying both turbocharger and diverter valve acoustics for a more engaging driving experience. Unitronic's Carbon Fiber Air Duct also helps to increase air flow and turbo effeciency by taking advantage of both air inlets available in the OEM grill.

Paired with Unitronic's High Flow Turbo Inlet, which is comprised of a billet-machined, direct bolt-on inlet and oversized silicone hose, this system delivers substantial airflow improvements while being compatible with the stock turbo or Garrett 2563 turbo.

Billet Turbo Inlet
At the Turbo Inlet's core is a CNC-machined billet aluminum inlet featuring a smooth taper that increases air velocity just before the turbine—much like a velocity stack.

Rust resistant hardware that will outlast your vehicle.
Quality Silicone Components:
Multi ply silicone turbo inlet hose is strong enough to avoid collapsing when the engine is under hard acceleration.
Autoclave Construction:
The curing process is completed in an autoclave to eliminate resin voids thus ensuring a strong component. A UV and heat resistant clear coat is then added on top of the carbon fiber to protect it against discoloration and give it a nice, smooth surface finish.

Enhanced Turbocharger Sound:
Unitronic’s Cold Air Intake Systems feature an open element design which results in a more audible sound from your vehicle’s turbocharger and Diverter Valve (DV).

Open slots located at the bottom of airbox allow for the drainage of water.
Proprietary 3-inch Filter:
Unitronic’s proprietary 3’’ dry cotton filter is engineered to maximize air flow with its radius base while keeping dust and foreign debris away from your engine.
Smooth Flow Transition:
Ferrule provision on air filter base to ensure a smooth and linear airflow transition between elements.
Direct Bolt-On Fitment with OEM Mounting Locations:
Utilizes all OEM mounting locations through use of Unitronic’s proprietary EPDM rubber mounting grommets.

The Unitronic Carbon Fiber Intake System and Turbo Inlet for the MK8 R and 8Y S3 equipped with the 2.0TSI EVO4 engine is designed to be simple to install with all necessary hardware included. Installation time will take approximately one hour including the removal of the factory intake and installation of your new system.
